Bus Transportation
Bus service connections for passengers and freight are provided by the Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC), Greyhound Bus Lines and Fuller Freight Services. Most of the larger communities and towns are covered by these services with daily stops. Access to a bus connection is no more than a half hour drive from most communities in the south east Saskatchewan region.
Greyhound utilizes STC buses in the south east to establish connections to major Canadian cities east and west through Regina, while STC operates regular service to communities in the region along Highways #39 and #18 East. Fuller Transport runs a route north from Carnduff along Highways #8, #13 and #33 to Regina.
The region also has one private company, Stagecoach Bus Tours and Charters which operates out of Weyburn and the Bear Claw Casino, located on the White Bear Reserve. Stagecoach Bus Tours and Charters has contracted with several charter companies throughout Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta to arrange transportation to their casino. Stagecoach Bus Tours maintains a fleet of fully licensed, late model touring buses. The company offers regularly scheduled tours to such destinations as Branson, Montana; Nashville, Tennessee; Deadwood, South Dakota; Sky Dancer, North Dakota; and Winnipeg, Manitoba. Custom group charters can be arranged upon request. Stagecoach Bus Charters also handles transportation for all minor sports teams in the south east corner of Saskatchewan.
